Jonathon L. "Jon" Manuella, 40, residing in Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024.
He was born May 25, 1984, in Sandusky, to Jeff and Debra (Baumeister) Manuella.
Jon graduated from Perkins High School in 2003. Like his dad, Jon had a lifelong passion for the service industry, always with a quick laugh and warm smile for all. A devoted sports fan, particularly of basketball, Jon's enthusiasm was contagious, often making him the heart and soul of any gathering. He cherished his friendships deeply and found great joy in sharing music and good times with those around him. His vibrant spirit and warm presence will be profoundly missed, but his memory will forever shine brightly, reminding all who knew him of the joy he brought into their lives.
Jon leaves a legacy of love and laughter. He is survived by two children; brother, Scott (Lauren) Manuella and family; grandfather, John Manuella; many cousins, especially Marina Cheek with whom he had a special bond; and numerous aunts, uncles, and friends who loved him tremendously.
He was preceded in death by his parents; uncle, Jude Manuella; and grandparents, Betty Manuella and Lee and Rita Baumeister.
Visitation for friends and family will be 10-12 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perins Ave., Sandusky.

I am a former busser and hostess of Ruby Tuesday. That is where I met Jon. He was always the kindest and had the biggest smile. I made sure to always buss and seat his tables first because he was so nice. My deepest condolences to all of his friends & loved ones.

Prayers to Scottie, family and friends. I met Jon and Scottie while I was working for Pizza Brothers. In the 15 years I worked there, I have alot of good memories with Jon. His dad, Jeff, would bring him in and he'd help roll dough. Another young person gone way too soon!
I hope your at peace and spending time you your mom and dad. RIP Jon!
