Sandusky
Judith Kay Wright, 82, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at The Meadows at Osborn Park.
She was born on November 23, 1942, in Sandusky to Gerald L. Jr & E. Elizabeth Wright.
Judi lived a full and meaningful life, dedicating much of her time to being an Eastern Airline flight attendant and JFK ground hostess for four years, an IBM technical support and instructor for 14 years and photography studio co-owner and manager for eight years. She loved bird watching, serving as a Sandusky Sailing Club race committee member and was a longtime member of the Sandusky Garden Club. She was especially known for her outgoing personality and volunteerism. She graduated from Sandusky High School in 1960 and Dyke Business College in 1962. She was a big fan of the Sandusky Blue Streaks, The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Dallas Cowboys.
A beloved sister and friend, Judi is survived by brother, Joel W. Wright; sister-in-law, Catherine C. Wright; nieces, Jennifer L. Borque, Katherine R. Balog; nephew, Christopher R Wright; and four grand-nieces, Madeline, Julia, Violet and Georgia; and three grand-nephews, Cole, Calum and Cooper.
In addition to her parents, Judi was also preceded in death by her grandparents, G.L Wright Sr. and Leona (Wright) Sudbrink, Oral V. Waugh and Georgia E. Waugh.
A celebration of her life will be private per her wishes. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory will be assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Back to the Wild, P.O. Box 423, Castalia, OH 44824, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Susan G. Komen 13770 Noel Road, Suite 801889, Dallas, TX 75380.
