Karan Satterlee Obituary

Karan Ann Satterlee

Nov 8, 1956 - Aug 23, 2025

Sandusky

Karan Ann Satterlee, 68 of Sandusky, left us Saturday, August 23, 2025, following a brief illness.

She was born November 8, 1956, in Buffalo, New York, to the late William Dane and Patricia Ann (Shields) Satterlee.

A proud graduate of Strong Vincent High School, Karan's personality was too big to be confined to one city. Her career at Just Pants in Erie, Pennsylvania, saw her rise to the challenge, and a transfer to Sandusky as a manager turned out to be a love affair of a lifetime with the city by the bay.

Karan's work history was as colorful as her collection of sunglasses. She was the life and soul of Johnny Angels, where she earned the nickname Snow White, not just for her fair complexion but for her ability to charm everyone. Karan never met a stranger; she was always there with a helping hand or a joke to ease your troubles.

Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Allen Satterlee; and her beloved puppy, Juliet.

She is survived by her brother, Thomas Dana Satterlee and his wife Aysin, their children, Jaylin Ann, Selin Dana, and Joshua Kyle Wasielewski; as well as Timothy's sons, Davis, Alex, and Mason Satterlee; her precious dog, Bella; her dear friends, Julianne Fails of Erie, Pennsylvania, Goulia Matthews, Mary Haar, Connie Carruthers, Suzann Ahlers, Earnie Davis, and Bob Bickley, affectionately known as "Sandusky Bob"-all from Sandusky-knew they had a friend in Karan who would drop everything for a Cedar Point adventure or a night out on the town.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at noon Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, Ohio 44870. A private inurnment will take place at a later date at Oakland Cemetery.
