It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Linda Lewis Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, in London, Kentucky. Linda, a devoted servant of the Lord, has gone to be with her Savior. We take comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of Jesus, where there's no more pain or sorrow, only eternal joy. We celebrate her life on earth and her glorious homecoming in heaven. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed.

At the young age of 16, Linda married her beloved husband, Tommy. Their 60-year marriage was a testament to love, commitment, and companionship, marked by countless cherished memories. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and deep affection, creating a legacy of love that will live on through their family. They raised four wonderful children and were blessed with two grandsons and three great-grandsons.

Linda was loved by many. She had a great sense of humor, a kind and generous heart, and a deep love for her family. Linda's faith in God was a guiding force throughout her life. In her younger years, she and her sister Kathy shared their devotion by teaching Sunday school together. After relocating to Kentucky, Linda became a cherished Philpot Chapel Baptist Church member in East Bernstadt. Her love for her church family was mutual, and she found deep joy and connection within the congregation. Always eager to serve, Linda frequently cooked for funerals and special occasions, bringing comfort and warmth to others through her hospitality and care.

Linda was a devoted mother who loved her children fiercely and gave them everything she could. She instilled in them the values of strength, the importance of higher education, and the ethic of hard work, always encouraging them to build a good life. Above all, she taught them that faith in God would guide them through any challenge.

Known affectionately as Ninny by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless others whose lives she touched, Linda welcomed everyone with open arms. She cherished her family, especially her cousins, and looked forward to their annual Cousins' Weekend. These weekends were filled with laughter, dancing, and fun, and Linda embraced her playful spirit. She was always the princess of those gatherings and carried that joyful spirit throughout her life.

Linda's greatest joy in life was having her family close. No hobby could fill her heart like the love she had for children. Over the years, she fostered many and cared for even more, opening her home to all and making everyone feel like family. She also had a special bond with her beloved dog, Callie.

Throughout her career, Linda dedicated herself to helping others. She worked as a nursing assistant at St. Francis of Green Springs before transitioning to roles at Sally's Beauty Supply and later Barnum Beauty Supply, where she remained until her retirement.

In her later years, Linda found peace and joy sitting on her porch, sharing laughter and stories with family and friends. She cherished FaceTime calls with her great-grandsons, keeping her connected to the ones she loved most. We will always remember Linda for her generous heart, unwavering spirit, deep love of life, and steadfast faith in God.

She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband, Thomas "Tommy" Lewis; three children, Tonya Lewis & her soulmate, Mark Kocher, of Milan, Brandon Lewis of East Bernstadt, Kentucky and Anthony Lewis of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; her sister, Kay Castle & husband Jim of Crossville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Victoria Baker & husband Carl, Justin Lewis and Cody Lewis; three great-grandchildren, Jack, Grant and Kai; her sister-in-law and caregiver, Sandra Lewis-Townsend whose kindness and care meant so much to Linda; plus a host of extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lillie (Sibert) Weaver; three siblings, Kathleen Lewis, Michael Weaver and Joey Weaver; and by her loyal pets, Wus, Snickers, Buzzz and Baby.

Funeral services for Linda Sue Lewis will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at Ransom Funeral Home in Castalia. Linda's brother-in-law, Arnold Lewis, will lead the service in her honor. Burial will follow at Castalia Cemetery in Castalia. Family will receive friends beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at the funeral home. The family will gather at Castalia Lions Club at the conclusion of the cemetery service to celebrate Linda's life and share memories together.
