Linda L. Lonsway, 78, of Huron, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026, at The Meadows at Osborn Park Nursing Home in Huron.

Linda was born April 24, 1947, in Sandusky. She was a devoted member and longtime volunteer at St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron for several decades. Linda had a childlike spirit and loved laughing and joking with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed listening to and dancing along with her favorite music from the 1950s through the 1980s.

Linda is survived by her sister, Carol F. Sims of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and her brother, Greg F. Lonsway of Norwalk; along with eight nieces and nephews, Lee Maltias of Helotes, Texas, Michael Lonsway of Tucson, Arizona, Timmy Waldron of Willard, Lori Ann Fedele of Johnson City, Tennessee, Michael Dillender of Sandusky, Dawn Sims of Sandusky, Todd Sims of Amherst, and Brian Lonsway of Ohio. She is also survived by 14 great-nieces and nephews.

Linda was a resident of The Meadows at Osborn Park for the last 10 years of her life, where she formed many meaningful friendships with both staff and fellow residents, whom she considered extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert M. Lonsway (1998) and June R. Lonsway (2015); her brother, Gerald M. Lonsway; her sisters, Joann Sibley and Sandra Riley; and her niece, Tammy Waldron.

A graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the mausoleum at Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron, Ohio. All who wish to attend are welcome.
