Lisa R. (Hulliberger) Shirley, 58, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 4, 2025, at her home after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 11, 1967, in Lansing, Michigan, to Nina Kovesdi and the late Alan Hulliberger. Lisa was a 1986 graduate of Edison High School. She also attended The Ohio State University and Bowling Green State University.

Lisa enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, music, suspense movies, reading, and English Literature. She had a witty sense of humor and was a hard worker with an extensive work history at many local businesses. Lisa last worked for Monroeville Freightliner/Great Lakes Truck Centers, which the family would like to especially thank for taking great care of her.

She is survived by her husband, Christopher Shirley; mother, Nina Kovesdi; father, Dr. John Kovesdi Jr.; stepsister, Kristine Kovesdi; stepbrother, John Kovesdi III; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Penny and Charles Stone; stepsister, Erika Jiminez; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, David Hulliberger; father, Alan Hulliberger; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Graveside service for Lisa is being planned for a later date. Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home was honored to actually plan Lisa's services with her and carry out her wishes with her family.
