Lloyd Pitsenbarger Obituary

Lloyd Carl Pitsenbarger

Aug 23, 1930 - Jan 11, 2025

Sandusky

Lloyd Carl Pitsenbarger, 94, residing in Sandusky, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 11, 2025, surrounded by his family at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.

Lloyd was born August 23, 1930, in Bingham, West Virginia, to the late Marion E. and Virgie E. (Nutter) Pitsenbarger.

Lloyd married his wife, Bonnie June 14, 1950. They were married for 65 years at the time of her passing. They shared one daughter. He started working at Ford Motor Company in April of 1956. He retired in July 2003 after 47 years of service. Lloyd loved all animals and had a very soft heart towards them, warm weather and sunshine and spent many hours sitting on his front porch watching the world go by and visiting with his neighbors, he was a great storyteller and had many stories to tell. He loved going for car rides, short or long, being the driver or a passenger. He really enjoyed music especially the older country music, Christian hymns and Tina Turner. He played guitar and one of his most treasured possessions was the guitar that his Dad gave him when he was 16. He was a man of great faith in God and enjoyed sharing it with others. His most favorite pastime of all was being surrounded by his family and the time he was blessed with when he could spend it with each and every one of them.

Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Doris Ann (Dave) Dubbert of Sandusky; grandchildren, Shawn Dubbert, Chad (Dawn) Dubbert, Shannon (Shane) Pankow and Aaron (Amanda) Dubbert; great-grandchildren, Desiree Alicea, Ian (fiancé, Maddeson) Dubbert, Devin (Marilyn) Dubbert, Davis (fiancé, Breanna) Dubbert, Dessa Dubbert, Savannah (fiancé, Devyn) Pankow, Summer Pankow, Dawson (fiancé, Syncere), Jaden Dubbert, Elijah Dubbert and Miley Dubbert; great-great-grandchildren, Micah Rapp, Cora Tackett, Dexter Dubbert, Ivy Jo Dubbert, Tayson Dubbert and Felix Dubbert; and nephews, Gary (Betty) Pitsenbarger and Lloyd Pitsenbarger.

In addition to his parents, Lloyd is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jean (Martin) Pitsenbarger in 2015.
