Lois Gordon Obituary

Lois Elizabeth (Martin) Gordon

Jul 26, 1924 - Aug 13, 2023

Sandusky

Lois E. (Martin) Gordon, 99, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, Aug. 13, 2023, at home.

She was the daughter of Giebert F. "Gilled" and Agnes A. (Landwehr) Martin of Luckey. Lois was a graduate of Pemberville High School.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Ladies Auxiliary of the A.M.V.E.T.S. Post # 17, Sandusky. Over the years, Lois enjoyed A.M.V.E.T.S., the Senior Center, all sports, dancing, boating, fishing, the islands, and of course, the casinos!

In years past, she worked at Erie Proving Grounds, Port Clinton, during World War II as an inspector, and later at J.C. Penney.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Kay (Larry) Hand of Norman Park, Georgia; son, Jeff W. (Maria Krause) Gordon of Sandusky; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; pet dog she loved, "Mickey D."; and many family and friends, especially her best friend, Mary Jane Riedy.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 49 years, William L. Gordon (1996); and son, Jack Gordon (2004).

At her request, private family graveside services will take place. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her name to one's favorite charity.

Arrangements have been entrusted to David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
