Lynn Marie Wood died peacefully Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, after battling cancer bravely for the past two years.

Lynn was born June 24, 1951, in Cleveland, to Raymond and Alice Kollai. She graduated from Rhodes High School and Baldwin Wallace College. Lynn retired from AT&T after 30 years of work in management.

Lynn was a member of St. Joseph Church in Avon Lake and Telephone Pioneers. She loved nature and hiking. She was an avid golfer and an Al-Anon State Representative. Lynn enjoyed Avon Lake's proximity to Lake Erie. She loved looking at the water and especially trips to Port Clinton. She had a long retirement and was able to travel with her partner, Ron. They took in NASCAR races in many states and were always on the hunt for some good peppermint ice cream. Lynn will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her partner of 23 years, Ron Claus; beloved siblings, Sharon Moss, Dennis Kollai (Lois), and Wendy Toolis (Patrick); sister-in-law, Susan Kollai; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wood; parents; brother, Darryl Kollai; and brother-in-law, Dennis Moss.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at St. Joseph Church, 32946 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, Ohio, 44012, with the Rev. Ronald Wearsch presiding.

Visitation for friends and family will be 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

A celebration of life will be at Sorrowful Mother Shrine at a later date. Private burial will take place and cremation will be by Busch. www.buschcares.com. 440-933-3202.
