Margaret Cheetham Obituary

Margaret A. Cheetham

Oct 23, 1926 - Feb 22, 2024

Sandusky

Margaret A. (Angello) Cheetham, 97, of Sandusky, passed away Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, at Parkvue Healthcare Center after a lengthy illness.

She was born Oct. 23, 1926, in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, to Antonio and Teresa (Pullano) Angello.

Margaret graduated from Sandusky High School. She was employed as a librarian at Sandusky City Schools for more than 20 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed time with Clyde boating in Ohio, Michigan, and Canada on their boat, the MARJAC, as well as wintering in Florida. Together, they enjoyed travels to Spain and Italy, including time living in Spain for Clyde's work. She was trilingual and used those skills during her time abroad. Holiday meals and time with her family were very important. She was also an avid artist in oil and watercolor painting and enjoyed dancing with Clyde. She will forever be remembered as a loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She was an avid reader, inspiring her grandchildren's love for books.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Marta (Garrett Burke) Cheetham of Van Buren Twp., Michigan; daughter-in-law, Marianne Cheetham of Sandusky; granddaughter, Elaine Cheetham of Sandusky; grandsons, Christopher Cheetham of Powell and Anthony (Keirra) Mushett, of Australia; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde A. Cheetham, in 2010; son, Jack Cheetham, in 2021; sister, Mary Steele, in 2022; brother, Peter Angello, in 1978; and brother in infancy, Joseph Angello.

Visitation for friends will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, until the time of Margaret's funeral at 1 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Ken Hiser will preside. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.

Aunt Margie was one of the most graceful and beautiful people I've ever known. She had a gentleness and kindness that is so rare in this world.
I will never forget her.

My most Heartfelt Condolences to the Family.. I met Margaret at my place of work, where she did her banking. The most kind, beautiful, elegant and sharp lady. I always loved when she came in; I loved talking with her and hug her...
May she rest in peace
