Margaret Scott Obituary

Margaret (Peggy) Scott

Jun 16, 1932 - Jun 23, 2024

Huron

Margaret (Peggy) Scott, 92, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024, into the loving hands of our lord.

Peggy lived in Huron and was loved by many.

Peggy is survived by Dr. Kate Keville of South Carolina, John Keville of Ohio, Maureen Kubicek of Ohio, and Patricia Miller of California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Scott; daughter, Karen Keville; and siblings, Anne Nicholson, Eileen Duggan, Maureen Prendergast, John Duggan, Paddy Duggan, and Kathleen Duggan.

Peggy was a stepmother to Darlene Scott of Ohio, Ron Scott of Ohio, and Michael Scott of Ohio. Peggy was blessed by magnificent grandchildren who she loved dearly.

Margaret was born to John and Mary Duggan in Ballyglunin, County Galway Ireland. Margaret's sister, Julie Duggan, is alive and well and lives in England. Margaret also has several nieces and nephews who she loved very much.

Margaret immigrated to the United States in hopes of finding a better life. Margaret was braver than most. In the days of no computers or cell phones, she came to our great country not to return for over 10 years. She survived challenges in life, but was amazing at moving forward, walking her five miles a day, and swimming a mile a day. Margaret was an avid runner and participated in hundreds of 5Ks, 10Ks, and her proudest was the San Diego Rock and Roll Marathon. Margaret was beautiful, full of style, and loved to dance, especially the Irish Jig. She missed her birth place, Ireland, and told us many stories of her childhood.

Margaret will forever be held in the hearts of many. May she rest in peace.

Peg was one of my mom`s best friends. They had lots of fun together, boating, and traveling with Ron and my dad. Many memories on the boat at the islands! We had many family gatherings together and she was always happy and very kind! She will be missed.

I met Peggy at NOMS parking lot. She was an instant Friend. Her car would not start & I was not going to leave her there. I thought it might be her battery to the auto hit button. I went down to the store-picked one up..and the tow truck had just arrived. We said-"let's try it first" and sure enough-that was it! Peggy was a Dear Person. I knew she was a Friend-I was in the right place and time. God Bless Her. I will Miss Her-and May The Family be guided in this Difficult Time. Their Mother was a Dear Person.
