Mark A. Hawk, 73, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday afternoon, Oct. 20, 2022, unexpectedly at home
Mark was born Jan. 3, 1949, to the late Dwight and Violet (Shroyer) Hawk.
Mark was employed by P & P Packaging in Monroeville for many years. He served in U.S Marines during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed playing softball and pool and watching old westerns. He also enjoyed Bob Seger, Ohio sports teams, and spending time with his family.
Mark is survived by his daughter, Andrea (William) Hawk-Long Sr. of Sandusky; grandchildren, Taylor Long, William Long, and Brooklyn Long, all of Sandusky; sister, Cecilia Curtis of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Farrel.
Mark's funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Pastor Wally Gilbert will officiate.

I got acquainted with Mark at Sandusky High School. A few years later we became siblings! His beautiful Mom, Vi married my grumpy Dad. Mark was always kind and very funny. RIP , Mark. And take big hugs to Becky and Vi. Shelley Rutger

May you rest in peace, Mark. I'll always remember you as one of my Dads (ELMO) very good friends. The card games played at our house and the hang outs at Lions Park.
