Mary Fink, 88, residing in Sandusky, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Firelands Regional Medical Center.

Mary was born May 9, 1937, in Castalia, to the late John and Lucille (Burggraf) Strouse.

Mary was a 1955 graduate of Margaretta High School. She was employed at the former Philco, Barr Rubber, Giant Tiger, Pick N Pay, Topps, and was self-employed as a caterer before retiring as a union representative for UFCW Local 911 after many years of service. Mary was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, AMVETS Post No. 17, American Legion Post No. 83, VFW No. 2529, and Sandusky Orioles Club. She enjoyed collecting clowns, playing Ohio Lottery and spending time with her family and friends.

Mary is survived by her longtime companion and partner, Dennis Dierker of Toledo; brother, John (Diana) Strouse of Castalia; stepdaughter, Sandra Niehm of Vancouver, Washington; son-in-law, Albert Rutherford of Tiffin; daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Fink of Huron; 11 stepgrandchildren, 19 stepgreat-grandchildren, and seven stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Dick" Fink in 2002 after 35 years of marriage; siblings, Agnes (Harold) Smith, and her sister in infancy, Peggy; stepchildren, Barbara Rutherford, Richard Fink Jr., Jerry Fink and Kenneth Fink; and many aunts and uncles.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2025, at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Ave. Sandusky, with Father Monte Hoyles presiding. Burial will follow in Castalia Cemetery, Castalia.
