Matthew Paul Parisi, 24, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
He was born Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998, in Akron, to Vincent Parisi and Janine Nesselhauf. Matthew lived in Akron all of his life.
Matthew was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Akron. He enjoyed life and many activities including riding motorcycles, going to Pittsburgh to watch the Steelers, playing with his dogs, camping, singing in the car with his girlfriend, Brianna, and making plans for the future. He had great faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord. He was an Eagle Scout with Troop 361 in Tallmadge and trustee of Carovillese Club. Matthew was a student at University of Akron and 2016 graduate of St. Vincent-St. Mary Catholic High School.
He is survived by his parents, Vincent Parisi and Janine (Tom) Nesselhauf: brother, Andrew R. Parisi; girlfriend, Brianna Buckingham; grandmothers, Maria Parisiand Carolyn Nesselhauf; aunts, Diana Parisi, Luana Jividen, Sandra Parisi, Judy (Joe) Hoffman, Ranae (Michael) Cleveland, Debra (David) Jay, Karen (Bill) Maclean, Donna (Dan) Benfer, Rebecca (Mike) Rohrbach, and Pamela (Scott) Nesselhauf; service dog, Champ; dog, Bandit; cat, Ninja; and many other loving family and friends.
Matthew was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dante E. Parisi and Donald Paul Nesselhauf; uncle, Eric Rohrbach; and dog, Zoe.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 83 Mosser Pl., Akron, Ohio, 44310. Matthew's final resting place will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.
The family will greet friends 2-6 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Hennessy Bagnoli Moore Funeral Home, 936 N. Main St., Akron, Ohio, 44310.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio State Dodd Hall Spinal Rehabilitation Center, in care of PO Box 183112, 660 Ackerman Rd., Columbus, Ohio, 43218-3112.
