Melvin E. Duffett, 80, of Bellevue, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2023, at Elmwood Skilled Nursing, Fremont.
Melvin was born Nov. 11, 1942, the son of Clemith and Myrtle (Gowitzka) Duffett.
Melvin was a member of 5 County Stroke Club and St. John's Lutheran Church of Bellevue.
Melvin is survived by his siblings, Clemith (Sheila) Duffett of Castalia and Clarice (Alvin) Mason of Bellevue; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; fiancé, Judith Widman; and siblings, John Duffett of Fremont, Iverna Fallecker of Norwalk, and Shirley Shorts-Thanasiu of Fremont.
Visitation for friends will be 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, until the time of Melvin's funeral at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest St., Bellevue, Ohio, 44811. Private burial will be at Castalia Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in Melvin's honor to the donor's favorite charity.
