It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael B. "Mike" Cameron, 50, of Huron, on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, from natural causes.

He was born Oct. 6, 1973, in Sandusky. Mike was a 1992 graduate of Edison High School. He studied history at West Virginia University. At age 20, he moved to Charleville-Mezieres, France, where he played basketball for the Vireux Basket Club in Vireux-Wallerand. When returning to the U.S., he attended Bowling Green State University. Although he pursued a degree in education, Mike discovered a fulfilling career in the marine industry. He established himself as a reputable provider of professional boat detailing services for over 25 years and became the proud business owner of Venture Marine Detailing in 2013. He also continued to channel his passion for basketball by coaching for Edison High School boys. In his spare time, he took pleasure in vacationing and flats fishing in Key West. Other interests included Civil War history and attending concerts of his favorite music artists such as Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam. Above all else, Mike cherished his role as a father, finding immense happiness in the presence of his young, beloved daughters.

Mike is survived by his wife, Jessica (Burns) Cameron; daughters, Blake Michelle Cameron and Quinn Harper Cameron; sister, Diana (Steve) Barman; nieces, Lexy Barman and Marissa Barman; nephew, Mitchell (Stephanie) Barman; father-in-law, Gary (Clarissa) Burns; mother-in-law, Michelle Kopronica; brothers-in-law, Jake (Holly) Burns, Brett Kopronica, Dalton Burns, and Dylan Burns; devoted and life-long friends, the Hoffman family; and several other extended family members, close friends, and many loyal colleagues and customers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie "Les" Cameron in 2020.

It was Mike's wish to be cremated.

Visitation for friends will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at Toft Funeral Home, Hinman Chapel, 38 South St., Berlin Heights. Mike's funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at the funeral home with visitation from 10-11 a.m.
