Michael Norman Galloway Sr., a soul radiant with warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength, peacefully transitioned from this life on October 3, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on December 12, 1952, he lived a life rich in purpose, filled with laughter, and grounded in love for family and community.
Michael’s journey was a tapestry of faith, hard work, and heartfelt connections. To know him was to be welcomed into his circle of kindness, storytelling, and genuine care. He had a remarkable gift for making others feel seen and valued — always ready to lend a listening ear or share a word of encouragement. His wisdom, humor, and strength of character were a steady light to those blessed to cross his path.
A proud 1970 graduate of Northside High School in Memphis, Tennessee, Michael attended Memphis State University. He later dedicated an extraordinary 47 years of service as an engineer with the United States Postal Service, where he was admired for his reliability, precision, and unwavering work ethic.
Michael was the beloved son of the late Violet and Saul Galloway Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted son, Michael Galloway Jr.; two loving sisters, Jacqueline Galloway Hilliard and Thelma Galloway; and a host of extended family members, friends, and colleagues who will continue to celebrate his life and legacy.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. The funeral service honoring his remarkable life will take place on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at the same location.
Though Michael has departed from our sight, the love he shared, the lessons he taught, and the laughter he inspired will remain forever in our hearts. His life was a testament to integrity, perseverance, and grace, a life beautifully lived and deeply loved.
