Michael Lepley Obituary
Michael Lepley
Aug 4, 1964 - Nov 26, 2025
Canal Fulton
Michael Allan Lepley, 61, of Canal Fulton, entered eternal rest on November 26, 2025, at Ohio's Hospice Wooster, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born August 4, 1964, in Sandusky, Mike was the son of the late Donald and Lucille (Adkins) Lepley. He graduated from Bellevue Senior High School in 1983 and continued his studies at The Ohio State University before earning his degree in accounting from Baldwin-Wallace College.
Mike built a long and accomplished career, most recently serving as senior quality engineer with The Genie Company in Mount Hope. His professional path also included many years with Wayne Dalton in Mount Hope and General Electric in Cleveland. Over nearly four decades, his work carried him across North America, Europe, and Asia-travels he cherished not only for the professional experiences but for the friendships and cultural insights he gained along the way.
Mike had a remarkable gift for connecting with people. Whether a relationship lasted a lifetime or a brief moment, he valued it deeply. He loved hearing others' stories about their families, careers, and experiences-and he shared those connections often with his own loved ones.
A dedicated sports enthusiast, Mike embraced athletics as a player, a coach, and a loyal fan. He shared that passion with his four children, often taking them to professional games and creating lasting memories together.
The prayers, encouragement, and kindness shown to Mike throughout his cancer treatment meant the world to him. He was especially grateful for the daily laughter, conversations, and adventures he shared over the past two years with his lifelong friends Duff Milkie, Tim Taggart, Jim Vogel, and Rocky Oddo, and the support from many childhood friends, classmates, relatives, and coworkers. He also treasured the love and care shown by Drew Gerber, Ryan Lally, Megan Babcock, and his friends at Paolino's in Canal Fulton.
Mike is survived by his children, Erica (Drew) Gerber, Michael D. Lepley, Brett Lepley, and Jenna Lepley; and his former spouse, Diane (Schindley) Lepley; all of Wooster. He also leaves his cherished siblings, Jacqueline (Donald) Perry of Saint Joseph, Michigan, and David (Bridget) Lepley of Spanish Fort, Alabama; nephews, Kyle (Julia) Lepley, Donald (Laura) Perry, Eric (Megan) Perry, and Tyler (Abby) Perry; nieces, Kristen Lepley and Katie Lepley; two great-nephews; and many cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends will be received from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery, Cherry Blvd., Bellevue.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice Wooster, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691.
