Pamela S. Hartle (nee Lucas), 66, of Vermilion, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at her home.
Pamela was born June 17, 1958, in Lorain. She was a lifelong resident of Vermilion. She had a variety of jobs throughout her life, most recently serving as a supervisor for Goodwill in Sandusky after her retirement.
She loved her family, friends, pets, books, and a good game of golf. Known for her zest for life, Pamela was very social and seemed to know everyone in town. She was creative and a sensitive poet. Pamela was assertive when needed and had an incredible sense of humor.
Pamela is survived by her sisters, Shirley (Richard) Witteborg of Defiance and Patricia (Michael) D'Aveta of Lakewood; nephew, Tristan D'Aveta; Leslie Mahaffey; niece, Caitlin; and great-niece, Calleigh Bird. Her companion dogs, Toto and Daisy, will also mourn her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Eula J. (nee Zeller) Lucas; maternal grandparents, Charles and Suzanne Zeller; and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Katherine Lucas-Duke.
A private gathering of family and friends will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to any local humane society.

Pamela was our daughter Emma's supervisor at Goodwill for many years. Her kindness, caring and definitely her humor helped our family navigate the many challenges we encountered as Emma entered the world of work and adulthood. She will be missed beyond words.
