Parline "Patsy" James, 77, of Franklin, Kentucky, passed away at 6:48 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2024, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
She was born Nov. 15, 1946, in Pucketts Creek, Virginia, to William Kempton and Etcy (Baker) Kempton.
Patsy is survived by her husband of 57 years, John James; two daughters, Michele Mahler (Thomas) of Franklin, Kentucky, and Lana Smith (Donnie) of Franklin, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Brandy Young (Jeremy), Brittany Drish (Trevor), Ashley Warren (Justin), and Dylan Warren (Tessa); six great-grandchildren, Thomas Young, Ella Young, Levi Drish, Ryman Drish, D.J. Sears, and Luca Warren; three siblings, Geraldine Moretz (Ray) of Lorain, Lorene Barnhart (John) of Monroeville, and Roger Kempton of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clement Kempton; and niece, Diane Kempton.
Patsy was a homemaker and of Baptist faith. She loved crafting, painting, decorating, and enjoyed cleaning.
Patsy's graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Greenlawn Cemetery, 420 Cemetery Street, Franklin, Kentucky.
