Patricia A. "Pat" (Spain) Ferrell-Pritt, 87, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, Dec. 19, 2022, at Kingston of Vermilion.
Pat was born Aug. 16, 1935, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the daughter of Otha and Velma Irene (Townsend) Spain. In years past, she worked at Ontario Department Store and later at Macy's Department Store for 25 years, retiring in 2016.
Pat loved cooking, having family gatherings, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda (William "Bill") Pritt of Sandusky and Elizabeth "Liz"(Michael) Smith of Troy, Ohio; two sons, Thomas (Pam) Ferrell and Jeff (Annette) Ferrell, both of Sandusky; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Sanders of Austin, Texas; brother, John "Jack" (Effie) Spain of Pensacola, Florida; and nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ellis Pritt; son-in-law, William "Bill" Spain; and sister, Rose Nevul.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, until the time of Pat's funeral at 1 p.m. at David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, with the Rev. Kenneth L. Hiser officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870.
