Patricia A. Parsons, 85, of Vermilion, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023, while in Hospice.

She was born July 15, 1938, in Amherst, and was a lifelong resident of Vermilion. Patricia graduated from Amherst High School and later attended Marietta College.

She and her husband, Richard, owned and operated, along with their children, Parsons M&I and Parsons Fire Equipment in Vermilion from 1973-2001. She was a deputy registrar for the state of Ohio, worked and retired from Erie County Board of Elections, was previously active in Sirenettes, and served as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. Patricia was an active member of Erie County Republican Central Committee as a poll worker, central committee person, and party secretary. She also served as a Bible schoolteacher at E & R Church.

Patricia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed making crafts.

She is survived by three daughters, Lori (John) McDonald of Amherst, Barbara (John) Evansco of Sheffield Lake, and Julie (Gary) Miller of Lorain; son, Eric (Mike) Parsons of Strongsville; six grandchildren, Shannon, Jessie, Ryan, Michael, Jake, and Melissa; and four great-grandchildren, Colton, Evelyn, Lincoln, and Xavier.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Vivian Hume; and husband of 61 years, Richard.

Private family services will take place.

Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, Huron, is assisting family.
