Patricia P. Simmons, 62, of Grand Rapids, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, at Grand Rapids Care Center.
She was born Nov. 13, 1960, in Sandusky, the daughter of Thomas J. Sr. and Manday Sue (Smith) Simmons. Patricia loved crocheting, knitting, reading fiction novels, and playing Rummy.
Patricia is survived by her loving siblings, Mary A. (Larry) Aaron of Sandusky, Thomas J. (Evelia) Simmons Jr. of Holly Springs, North Carolina, and Julie (Glenn) Simmons of Gurnee, Illinois; brother-in-law, David Brown of Sandusky; nieces, Vonda (Jason) Kubitz of Sandusky, Jackie Simmons of Sandusky, Rachael (Korie) Simmons of Powell, Taylor Simmons of Gurnee, Illinois, Chelsea Simmons of Holly Springs, North Carolina, and Denise Gonzalez of Houston, Texas; nephews, Joseph (Chasity) Simmons of Sandusky, Thomas Simmons III of College Park, Washington, Aaron Simmons of Holly Springs, North Carolina, Bradley Simmons of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and Eslie Canao of Holly Springs, North Carolina; great-nieces, Peyton Jordan, Alyssia Simmons, Amina Simmons, Ameera Simmons, Kennedy Simmons, Izabelle Simmons, Rosalee Hall, and Daisy Gonzalez; and great-nephews, Jace Kubitz, Javontae Simmons, Isaiah Simmons, Thomas Simmons IV, Titus Simmons, Elias Simmons, Dezmond Simmons, Malachai Hall, and Axel Gonzalez.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Darlene Simmons and Jackie Simmons; and grandparents, Harrison Lester and Mandy Susie Brown Smith, Hattie Mae Simmons, and Esau Simmons.
Visitation for friends will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, until the time of Patricia's funeral at 12 p.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1920 Eddie Henry Way, Sandusky. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Helping Hands Ministry in care of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1920 Eddie Henry Way, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870.
