Paul Henry Lewis, 82, of Castalia, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born May 28, 1940, in Sandusky, to Paul L. and Willa Mae (Long) Lewis.
Paul attended Sandusky High School and as a young man, joined U.S. Navy. He retired after many years as a Sandusky City firefighter.
Paul is survived by his sons, Paul H. Lewis Jr., John L. Lewis, James A. Lewis, and Philip A. Lewis; sister, Janet Jaeger; several grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Private services will take place. Burial will be at Oak Bluff Cemetery, Huron (Berlin Twp.).
Those wishing to contribute to Paul's memory may do so to Meals On Wheels.
Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements.

I'm so sorry to hear about the death of Paul. I hadn't seen him lately and wondered if he was sick. I'll miss his stories and long talks. We all will. Deepest sympathy for the families loss from myself and all the staff at Bedrock Tavern. Fly high my friend.
