Paula Jean (Millis) Newell, 81, of Huron, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, at Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born Sept. 17, 1941, in Milan, to Bernard and Mary (Kessler) Millis Sr.
Paula attended Huron High School. She was a homemaker, caring for her home and family. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her loving family.
Paula is survived by her husband, Bill, whom she married June 14, 1964; daughter, Liz (Gary) Pollock of Bellevue; son, Wil (Jeanne) Newell of Huron; grandchildren, Olivia and Ronald; sisters, Mary Jane Johnson and Charlotte (Bill) Simmons; brothers, Leon (Brigitte) Millis, Dick (Teresa) Millis, and "Shorty" (Marylin) Millis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents; daughter in infancy, Sharon Marie Newell; and siblings, Madeline Parthemore, Virginia Bostater, Elizabeth Ann Millis, twin Paul Millis, Bernard Millis Jr., and John Millis.
Private family services will take place.
Those wishing to contribute to Paula's memory may do so to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Stein Hospice for their excellent care.
