Peggy Sue Nickle, 67, of Sandusky, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 2, 2024, at Firelands Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born Sept. 3, 1956, in Sandusky, to Leonard and Margaret Kessler, who preceded her in death.

Peggy was a Sandusky High School graduate and worked retail for many years at Hills Department Store and TJ MAXX. In her spare time, she enjoyed being outdoors, riding her scooter downtown, and socializing. She took delight in watching all of the live entertainment on Jackson Street Pier and relished in any opportunity to go out to eat with her family members. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, Jimmy Kessler, Dennis (Nicole) Nickle, and Travis (Kaila Neeley) Nickle; eight grandchildren, Tajae, Dennia, Kyngston, Malaki, Dracen, Saraya, Navarah, and Cayden; siblings, Vicki Boesch, Larry (Marsha) Kessler, Jeff (Holly) Kessler, and Julie Kessler; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

At the family's request, cremation will take place and Peggy's celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, Sandusky, is assisting family with arrangements.
