Philip M. Lacer, 91, of Port Clinton, passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at Hospice of Hamilton, Hamilton, Ohio.

He was born June 4, 1931, in Danbury Township, the son of Morris and Estelle (Robron) Lacer. He married Verna Rose Rickner on Oct. 23, 1954, and she preceded him in death June 15, 2022. Philip worked at Ford Motor Co., Sandusky, for 32 years and previously worked at Erie Army Depot for 10 years and farmed his farm for his whole life.

Philip is survived by his children, Rex A. Lacer of Milan, Victoria (Kevin O'Quinn) Laurents of Port Clinton, Vel (John) Niess of Fairfield, and Philip A. Lacer of Port Clinton; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jack (Sally) Minier of Catawba Island, Skip (Kathy) Lacer of Helena, Mike (Judy) Lacer of Oak Harbor, and Mary Goetz of Oak Harbor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Verna.

Philip's funeral was 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023, at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St., Port Clinton. Visitation was 12-1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton.
