Phillip Lee "Phil" Adkins, 48, of Port Clinton, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton.
He was born April 13, 1976, in Port Clinton, to Robert Lee and Laura (Steele) Adkins. Phil attended Port Clinton High School. He worked at Crow's Nest as a groundskeeper and Crabby Joe's as a server and bartender. These jobs complemented Phil's love of the outdoors.
Phil was an avid sports fan of Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, and The Ohio State Buckeyes football team. He was fiercely loyal to his family and friends. Phil was always ready to lend a hand, no matter how busy he was.
Phil was the star of the family's annual horseshoe tournament. He had the trophies, eight of them, to prove it. Phil loved spending time with his family. They will miss his smiling face and loving heart.
Phil is survived by his mother, Laura (stepfather Matt) Valenti; children, Alexia Eichelberger, Hailey Martinez, Jackson Adkins, Logan Floro, and Raylee Adkins; four grandchildren; brother, Joshua Large; sisters, Tiffany and Rochelle; brother, Nicholas Adkins; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Adkins; and brother, Robby Lee Adkins.
Visitation will be 1 Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, until the time of Phil's funeral at 6 p.m. at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton. His brother, Joshua Large, will conduct services.
Memorial contributions in memory of Phil can be made to the family.
