Raymond H. Christman, 88, of Monroeville, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, at The Willows at Bellevue.

He was born May 13, 1935, in North Monroeville, and was a 1953 graduate of Monroeville High School. He was employed at Thakar Aluminum Corporation in Sandusky prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville, where served as an usher. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus and Monroeville High School Athletic Booster Club, where was a past President. Raymond liked staying active. His hobbies included supporting all Cleveland sports teams. He loved horses and didn't miss watching a major horse race, but his most cherished moments were the times spent attending his children and grandchildren's activities.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, LaDonna J. (Boehler) Christman; five children, Timothy R. (Robin) Christman of Oregon, Ohio, Kim A. Christman of Monroeville, James D. (Robin) Christman of Norwalk, Cynthia (Glenn) Wrap of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Steven M. (Melissa) Christman of Sandusky; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Susan (Randy) Wolf of Amherst; sister-in-law, Marsha Christman of Bellevue; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond F. and Helen (Hadsell) Christman; and two brothers, James Christman and Jere Christman.

Visitation for friends will be 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2023, until the time of funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. Father Chris Jesudhason will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroeville.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph School Endowment Fund, 79 Chapel Street, Monroeville, Ohio, 44847.

Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville, has been entrusted with arrangements.
