Raymond "David" Riedy Jr., 72, of Sandusky, passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, at his home.

He was born Jan. 20, 1952, in Sandusky, to Raymond and Doris Alberta (Smith) Riedy. David graduated from Sandusky High School and Franklin University.

He worked as a Certified Financial Planner for Ameriprise Financial for over 40 years.

He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Sandusky, where he was an active participant in the school and church. David was an avid boater, spending weekends on the water with his family, and was busy with his wife running their Piccolo's Wine Shop.

David is survived by his wife of 23 years, Susan Riedy; children, Elizabeth Westfall of Dublin, Ohio, Matthew (Jessica) Riedy of North Charleston, South Carolina, and Andrew (Alyse Crane) Riedy of Silver Springs, Maryland; Susan's children, Matthew Wineman of Sandusky, Adam (Becky) Wineman of Norwalk, and Emily (Jonathan) Hildum of Miami, Florida; 15 grandchildren; sisters, Kathy (Mike) Truman of Milan, Barbara Weaver of Huntington Beach, California, and Gina Schippel of Foot Hill Ranch, California; uncle and aunt, Ned and Gail Riedy; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian burial will take place at a later date.
