Robert A. "Bob" Hiss, 68, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Friday morning, April 5, 2024, with family at his side at MetroHealth Medical Center, Main Campus, Cleveland.

Bob was born April 2, 1956, in Sandusky, the son of Norbert Frederick and Irene (Charette) Hiss. He was a 1975 graduate St. Mary's Catholic High School. Bob worked at Ventra Sandusky for the past few years and prior to that, he worked for over 30 years at NAPA Parts, Sandusky.

He enjoyed spending time with the family and the grandchildren and watching Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and his NASCAR races.

Bob was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and U.A.W. Local #216.

He is survived by his wife, Rose M. (Hineline) Hiss; family, Caitlin (Caleb) Hitchcock of Sandusky, Michelle Ayers of Sandusky, Jennifer Wobser of Huron, and Zi'Yon Scott of Sandusky; grandchildren, Trinity, Brooklynn, Alexys, Brycen, Jace, Camilla, Sky'Ana, Jude, Cambrie, Londyn, Coby, and Corinna; sister, Nancy (Wayne) Zeller of Dayton; three brothers, David Hiss of Huron, Chuck (Liane) Hiss of Sandusky, and Joe Hiss of Norwalk; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Janet Hiss and Marjory Marcel.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2024, at David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Bob's funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2024, at the funeral home. Deacon Bill Burch will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
