Pastor and Chaplain Bob Proy went to be with Jesus on Saturday, July 20, 2024.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Nadine Proy of Florida; two sons, Ryan Proy of Florida, wife, Roseanne, and Casey Proy of Ohio, wife, Erica. He will be forever missed by his father, Robert Carl Proy of Ohio, and his only sister, Connie Baker of Indiana, and husband, Gary. His fun and loving personality will be missed by his many grandkids and great-grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth (Betty) Rose Proy, who met him with open arms.

He will be remembered as a great man of God who influenced thousands of people across many states, from church members to inmates in the prisons in Florida with his message of love, hope, and forgiveness. His legacy will continue through his Chaplain ministry and the books and manuals he wrote. To honor and further, that ministry has been his passion for the last 10 years. The book and manual entitled, Church in Chains, was written and published two years ago and has forever changed the lives of inmates and all those who have read and studied the material.

Bob's memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at his home church, River Clermont Church in Clermont, Florida. Pastor Caleb Ring will officiate. All are welcome to come and celebrate the life and legacy of Chaplain Bob Proy.
