First of all I am so sorry for your loss. This message is manly for his kids. I met your dad over twenty years ago. We met when we were both dealing with a difficult time in our lives. But our families connected! We became friends! I have so many memories of US! Just hanging out...I remember your dad having a rubber band fight in my house with my kids. Going out to eat at the Sand Bar in Huron. My sons 16th birthday..Sooo fun!!! Going out on his brothers sailboat when my son pucked before we even got to the lake. The River Fest parade, Cedar Point and Sooo many other memories!! I hope you can look back and see what a special man he was!!! Sooo kind, understanding, fun loving, and caring person he was. Know that he loved you guys unconditionally!!! Please look back and enjoy the good memories! I know we will never forget!!!

I've known Rob for many years, moreso these past several years. His sister and I were in gymnastics together in high school and he graduated with my sister. He was also very good friends with my next door neighbor when I was a little girl. The last week or so I was able to see him daily where I work. We chatted daily, laughed and I met one of his children. When he was leaving he gave me a big hug and told me to take care and be good. He had the kindest smile in his eyes. Prayers of peace and comfort to all his family. I'm glad to have been a tiny part of his last memories. Rest in Heaven, Rob.

O God, Who has commanded us to honour our fathers, have compassion in Thy mercy, on the soul of Rob Whinnery, father of three wonderful children, and grant that they may see Rob in the joy of eternal brightness. Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
