Ron DeLuca, 75, of Bellevue, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic.
He was born Nov. 15, 1948, in Bellevue, the son of Jack R. "Jake" and Ruth E. (Schmitz) DeLuca.
Ron was a 1966 graduate of Bellevue High School. He worked as a history teacher for Norwalk City Schools, where he also coached football, track, and wrestling. He retired from teaching in 2007. Ron was an avid fisherman and enjoyed trips to the casino with his Dian. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Elks, Eagles Aerie 490, the former Club AmerItal, and Norwalk VFW. He was a loving grandfather and the biggest supporter of his children.
He is survived by two sons, Max (Reagan) DeLuca of Westlake and Tom (Cassandra) DeLuca of Olmsted Falls; stepdaughter, Keily (Adam) Wilson of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; seven grandchildren, Ellie, Nora, Gianna, Maria, Caden, Carsyn, and Devon; brothers, Jack (Kay) DeLuca, Michael (Stephanie) DeLuca, and Frank (Cindy) DeLuca; and sisters, Charlene (John) Lawlor, Linda (Doug) Sweigard, Peggy (Perry) Lynne, Clare Lutz, Paula (Lynn) Drown, and Edith DeLuca.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; wife, wife, Sherian D. "Dian" (Crow) DeLuca, whom he married June 1, 2007; stepson, David Snyder; granddaughter, Samantha; and infant sister, Mary.
Visitation for friends will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center Street, Bellevue.
Memorials may be made to the family to establish a scholarship fund for student athletes in the Bellevue and Norwalk School Districts to further their education.

I´ve knew Ron since kindergarten where he was better finger painting we were close through catholic school and had so many jokes everyone knew and through high school. We were always close and not only met up at class reunions but fat track meets. Always called me Donnie... which only Ron would ok. Ron will always be remembered to me for our friendship and growth gother.

Max, Tom & the Deluca family deepest sympathy for your loss which is shared by all of us! Your dad and brother was a great coach & man who will be missed. I miss the man that got me to the State Wrestling Tournament as a competitor later in life being my partner calling that tournament on the radio not to mention being a great friend! My condolences to the DeLuca family. Mr. DeLuca was my favorite high school teacher; American History. He was always passionate about his teaching and was always an upbeat, respectful person, a good guy. RIP Mr. DeLuca.
