Ronald K. "Ron" Bork, 83, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Sunday afternoon, December 28, 2025, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
Born August 24, 1942, in Sandusky, the son of Kenneth Bland and Wilma Christinna Minnie (Bretz) Bork. Ron had been a proud member of Laborers' Union Local No. 480 for over 50 years, retiring in 1999. Over the years, he had enjoyed boating, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He also loved camping and had summered for over 20 years with his companion, Doris, at Huron Valley Campground.
Ron had been a member of Laborer Union Local No. 480, Sandusky, for over 50 years, Sons of the American Legion Post No. 83, Sandusky Eagles Aerie No. 444 and V.F.W. Auxiliary Post No. 2529.
He is survived by two daughters and a son, his grandchildren, a brother, Jerry (Mary Ann) Bork of Sandusky, and nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his companion of nearly 30 years, Doris L. Tyler, in 2019.
It was his wish to be cremated. No services will take place. Ron will be buried in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Cancer Services of Erie County, 505 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to one's favorite charity.
Arrangements are entrusted to David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.

I'm so very sorry for your loss.
I first met Ron when I became the first female arie trustee at the Sandusky eagles. His ruff exterior kind of scared me a little, but once I got to know him, he was very kind. We last saw him a few months back at the VFW, he always had a smile and a kind hello.
