Sandusky

Ronnie Aaron, 65, Sandusky, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025. He was born April 11, 1959, in Sandusky. He loved all Ohio sports teams and was an unrelenting Cleveland Browns fan. For many years, he played softball in various area leagues. He loved a good party and a good meal and often cooked massive meals just for himself and anyone who stopped by. Never one to shy away from the dance floor, he loved to dance and have a good time. Most importantly, he loved family and could often be found in their presence.

Ronnie graduated in 1978 from Perkins High School. Upon graduation, he attended Central State University before joining the military; he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the National Guard. He worked for many years at the Ohio Veterans Home before temporarily relocating to Waynesboro, Mississippi, and later worked as a cook until his health declined.

Childfree, Ronnie spent his time visiting with his siblings or attending games and functions for his many nieces and nephews. He is survived by sister and caretaker, Alice Ashburn; brothers, George Evans, Ed (Willie) Aaron, and Levon Nicholson; nieces; nephews; and a host of relatives and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory special friend Maurice "Pook" Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave Aaron, Sr. and Mary Lee Aaron; brothers, Eulas (Lena) Aaron, Claude (Bertha Mae) Aaron, Sr., Dave (Clara) Aaron, Jr., C.B. Aaron, James "Boo Lock" (Mattie) Aaron, and Danny (Brunell) Aaron, Sr.; sister, Susietta (Eugene) Williams; special aunt, Annie Mae Nicholson of Waynesboro, Mississippi; and special nephew, Aaron Richardson.

The family will receive guests from 11-12 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 224 Dixie Avenue, Sandusky. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12 p.m. at the church. Elder Jasmine Pope will officiate, and Pastor Joseph Strong will eulogize. Burial with military honors by Army Honor Guard will follow at Perkins Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to Concord Care Center of Sandusky.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ronnie's name to the church. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky is handling the arrangements.
