Ruth Dendinger, née Mathis, born January 10, 1942, in Harlan, Kentucky, was a dedicated and ambitious woman who passed away peacefully Sunday, January 11, 2026, in Bellevue, Ohio, where she resided. Ruth was a beloved figure in her community, known for her commitment to her family, her love of reading and card games, and her active involvement in her church. She was a widow, having been married to the late Paul Dendinger on April 28, 1962. Ruth spent her professional career as a real estate agent, demonstrating her ambition and dedication in every transaction.

Ruth was a front-row lady at her church, always eager to participate and engage with her church family. She was also an adventurous spirit, enjoying travel when she was able. Ruth's greatest achievements, as she often proudly stated, were her children and her husband. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Ruth was also an ardent reader, loved to play online card games, and enjoyed socializing with her fellow church ladies. Her family and friends will remember her as a pillar of strength, love, and generosity.

Ruth is survived by her children, Heather Dendinger and Paul Dendinger; her grandchildren, Emmanuel Harvey, Tiffiny Harvey, and Emily Harvey; and her great-grandchildren, Wesley and Colton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dendinger; her parents, Robert and Edith Mathis; her daughter, Diana Harvey; and her siblings, Dorothy Ellison and Jerry Mathis.

A memorial service for Ruth will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2026, at St John's Lutheran Church, located at 209 Southwest Street, Bellevue, Ohio, 44811.
