Ruth Ann Smith, 76, of North Baltimore, died at 11:15 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2025, at her residence. She was born May 14, 1949, in Sandusky, to the late Al and Lillie (Stauffer) Reisch. She married George Smith, April 3, 1980, and he survives.
Ruth Ann is also survived by her sons, Jason (Laura) Westgate of Cygnet and Michael Smith of North Baltimore; daughters, Kala (Paul) Murphy of Erie, Michigan, Tracey Polidan of Cape Coral, Florida, Shelly Lager of Naples, Florida, and Jennifer Munden of Ft. Myers, Florida; sister, Linda Smith of Sandusky; 16 grandchildren and over 20 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Ken Smith.
Ruth Ann retired from the Child Support Agency in Erie County and Sandusky Perkins Local Schools. She was also the former owner of Bluefish Bakery in Fairhope, Alabama, Occasional Cookie in Sandusky, and Goodtime I Island Cruises in Sandusky. Ruth Ann was a former member of Zonta and Business Women of Sandusky.
Visitation will be from noon- 2 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2025, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, and 10-11 a.m. prior to service Monday.
Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2025, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore. Burial will be private.
Memorial contribu-tions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.smithcrates.com
