Sandra M. Dendinger, 81, of Greenwich, died Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Laurels of New London Nursing Home.
Sandy was born June 4, 1941, in Norwalk, the daughter of the late John Sherwood and Dorothy (nee Tanner) Dendinger. She was a life-long resident of Huron County. She graduated from North Fairfield High School in 1959.
For over 30 years, Sandy worked as a material handler at RR Donnelley. She was part of Huron County Women's Sheriff PO in the early 1960s and was a member of North Fairfield Assembly of God. She treasured spending time with her family and her dog, Grant. Sandy also enjoyed crossword puzzles and listening to music. She will be remembered for her sweet tooth and love of Hersey's chocolate and collecting all things Coca-Cola.
Sandy leaves behind her children, Shawna (Mark) Caskey of Greenwich and Eric (Brenna) Dendinger of Vickery; grandchildren, Kayla Johnson, Shayla Dendinger, and Kaiden Shaffer; five great-grandchildren; three siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kaysha Dendinger; sister, Lois Barringer; and nephews, Tim and Terry Evens.
Sandra's celebration of life will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Greenwich Fire Station, 49 Main Street, Greenwich, with light refreshments.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandy's memory may be directed to Laurels of New London in Sandy's name.

So sorry to hear about Sandy's passing. When we were kids and hanging out at the Wheeler's, we would see her smiling face all the time. We, also, worked with her at RRD. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

my condolences to Sandy's family. I worked with Sandy at Donnelleys and she was in my wedding. We shared some good times. I lost contact with Sandy after I quit . Prayer to her children, share your memories it helps with the days ahead.
