Sharon Marie Herzog, 56, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Tuesday morning, Jan. 10, 2023, at Providence Care Center after a brief illness.

Sharon was born March 31, 1966, at Red Stone Army Base in Huntsville, Alabama, to Mary Jo (Everett) and the late Charles E. Herzog Jr., who died in 2015.

Sharon graduated from Betty Rinderle Schools. She was employed at Double S Industries and Ability Works for many years. Sharon was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she received her baptism, first communion, and confirmation. Sharon was also a member of Girl Scouts and Special Olympics Athletic Program as a bowler. She enjoyed coloring, puzzles, and family vacations. Sharon thoroughly enjoyed her stickers. Sharon's mother, Mary Jo, sends out a special thank you to all Sharon's friends and family who contributed to her love of stickers over the years. Sharon also loved her family pets and spending time with her family and friends.

Sharon is survived by her mother; sister, Julie Ireland of East Hampton, Connecticut; brothers, Charles Joseph (Carrie) Herzog of Sandusky, Jeff (Debra) Herzog of Huron, Scott Herzog of Sandusky, and Bill Herzog of Sandusky; nieces and nephews, Chaz (Morgan), Brian, Allison, Jake, Nate, Katie, Morgan, Keith, Ian, Everett, and Easton; three great-nieces and great-nephews; several aunts and uncles; and other relatives.

In addition to her father, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Dennis Ireland; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky, with Fr. Zach Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
