Stanley A. Saleski, 77, residing in Sandusky, passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023.
Stanley was born May 3, 1946, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, to Lewis and Martha (Januszewski) Saleski.
Stanley graduated from Hanover Memorial High School in 1966. He was a veteran of U.S. Army who proudly served his country from Sept. 21, 1967 to June 6, 1970. He was employed and retired as a Building Maintenance for the Federal Government. Stanley was a life member of Sandusky V.F.W., Disabled American Veterans, and Sts. Peter & Paul Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, fishing, and painting.
Stanley is survived by his great-nephew, Thomas (Julie) Saleski Jr. of Bellevue; great-grandnephews, Garrett and Gavin; sister, Louise A Mayus of Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonita Sue Saleski; brother, William E. Saleski; sister, June R. Horvath; and nephew, Thomas Saleski Sr.
Visitation for friends will be 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, until the time of Prayer Service at 9:30 a.m. at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Sts. Peter & Paul Church with Father Zach Brown presiding. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
