Sue Davison Obituary

Sue Ellen Davison

Apr 9, 1947 - Mar 1, 2025

Sandusky

Sue Ellen Davison, 77, residing in Sandusky, passed away at home Saturday evening. Sue Ellen was born April 9, 1947, in Willard to the late Halden T. and Doris M. (Stein) Buckingham. She was a proud Sandusky High School graduate from the class of '65. Her passion for caring for others led her to graduate from the Providence School of Nursing, where she spent the majority of her tenure as an ICU nurse at Providence Hospital. Her skillful efforts throughout her career led to her becoming a night supervisor at Magruder Hospital. She also worked at General Motors Delphi in their medical unit, and for Therapeutic Management. Upon retiring from nursing, Sue Ellen went on to provide care for preschool children at the Kiddie Korral daycare center. She was the perfect fit for this role, as her lifetime of experience made her the most gentle and soothing care provider. In her own free time she enjoyed crafting, reading, gardening, animal watching, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sue Ellen is survived by her two daughters, Leigh (Kevin Quigley) Howard of Middleburg Heights and Kristi Davison of Sandusky, who was her caretaker and with whom she made her home; five grandchildren, Jatoria Davison, Emmanuella Donald, Alexis Howard, Katelynne Howard, and Johnathan Donald; and three great-grandchildren, Krystiona Hunter, Braylon Roberts and Kayden Roberts. She is also survived by five siblings, Ross (Carol) Buckingham of Toledo, Patricia Evans of Elyria, Michael (Helen) Buckingham of Surprise, Arizona, Scott (Cathy) Buckingham of Huron, and Rebecca (Randy) Johnson of Toledo, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sue Ellen was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Joseph Theodore Howard and Keegan Parker Quigley; one great-grandchild, Jamai Green Jr., and a sister, Anna Marie in infancy.

Private services will be for the family at a later date. Groff Funeral Home and Crematory in Sandusky are assisting the family with arrangements.
