Susan L. Brooks, 72, of Graytown and formerly of Port Clinton, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo.
She was born Oct. 15, 1950, in Bradner, the daughter of Evelyn Palmerton. Sue married Edward Brooks on Feb. 21, 1970, and he survives. Sue was a school bus driver and the newspaper distributor for the Toledo Blade.
Susan is survived by her husband, Edward; sons, Joe (Andrea) Brooks of Graytown and Dan Brooks of Knoxville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Bennett Brooks, Edward Brooks, JoAnna Brooks, and Abigail Brooks; niece, Breanna (Hunter) Shelton of New Mexico; and nephew, Michael (Jennifer) Brooks of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Ed Carr; grandchild, Baily; and sister, Eileen Carr.
Susan's graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, at Meadow Green Memorial Park, 2602 Bogart Rd., Huron, Ohio, 44839. Pastor Dave Clark will be officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
