Terry Arnold "Pappy" Ross, 84, of Sandusky, passed away Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 25, 1939, in Willard, to Harold and Esther (Rickett) Ross.
He was a veteran of U.S. Army National Guard who proudly served his country from 1962-1968. Terry was a devoted husband and father and especially enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as life on Lake Erie, boating and fishing. If the sun was shining, he was sitting or working outdoors. A gifted salesman, you would often find him deep in conversation, especially regarding his favorite topic of politics. He retired from Mathews Ford after serving many years as the sales manager. Terry was also a true handyman and master of all trades - there was nothing that he couldn't fix.
Terry is survived by his wife of 63 years, June (Tobin) Ross; daughters, Shelly (Rick) Pinhard, Krista (Brian) Siddall, and Stacey Ross; grandchildren, Alyssa (Dale) Dukeshire, Michaela (Andrew) Sims, Connor (Jamie) Duplin, Alyxandra Perram, Andrew Duplin, Cassandra Duplin, Samuel Perram, and Sydnee Perram; great-grandchildren, Austynn and Dawsynn Dukeshire and Brooks and Beau Sims; and brother, Ben (Mae) Ross.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ted Ross.
His legacy can be found in the laughter and stories shared as a reflection of his well-lived life.
At Terry's request, a private family celebration of life will take place.
