Theresa Ann "Honey" Claus, 82, of Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023, at home.

She was born March 28, 1941, in Bellevue, the daughter of Ralph and Josephine (Nasonti) Costantino.

Theresa was a 1959 graduate of Bellevue High School. She married Martin Claus on April 15, 1961, at Immaculate Conception Church, Bellevue, in a ceremony officiated by Fr. Albert Bishop. As her children got older, Theresa attended Sandusky School of Practical Nursing in 1971 and began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1972 at the former Providence Hospital. She worked as a LPN at Providence until retiring in 2000.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Altar Rosary Society, as well as the Eagles Auxiliary and the former Club Amer-Ital. Theresa enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, crocheting, taking daily walks through the neighborhood, and cheering on Cleveland's baseball team. She loved lighthouses and traveling with Martin, especially to Maine to see them. Theresa was a loving mother and avid supporter of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Martin Claus of Bellevue; children, JoAnne Claus of Bellevue and Martin D. (Paula) Claus of Bellevue; five grandchildren, Nathan (Kate) Steinmetz, Sarah (Chris) Parrish, Julianna (Jake) Steinmetz, Matthew (Emily) Hill, and Hannah (Carl) Hill; two great-grandchildren, Alicia and Adalyn; niece, Sandra (Jack) Meyer; nephew, Samuel (Jill) Krafty; sisters-in-law, Theresa (Gene) Missler, Ruth (Bob) Frankfather, and Patty (Bill) Kulka; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Sharon) Claus and Roger (Berdella) Claus; and numerous other cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; sibling, Grace (Don) Krafty; and father and mother-in-law, Walter and Loretta Claus.

Visitation for friends will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023, at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where the Rosary will begin at 2:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 East Center Street, Bellevue.
