Virginia "Ginny" Lois (Kunkle) Doyle, a loving, kind, and faith-filled woman, was born May 26, 1949, in St. Joseph Hospital, Lorain, to Charles and Sophia (Ireland) Kunkle. She passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 7, 2023.

Ginny graduated from Lorain High School in 1967. Shortly after graduation, she married the love of her life, Gerald Francis Doyle, on July 6, 1968, in a beautiful ceremony in Lorain. She devoted her early years to raising her family and later worked as an office coordinator for a local physician, a role that she performed with dedication and grace.

Ginny was a woman of faith and longtime member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Sandusky. She found solace and strength in her faith which guided her throughout her life. In her leisure time, Ginny enjoyed fishing the Lake Erie Islands with her beloved Jerry and their family. The fall and winter months were often spent at the family's retreat in south Florida, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Ginny was an avid sports fan, following the Cleveland pro sports teams and The Ohio State University sports programs with enthusiasm. However, her most treasured interest was the time spent with her family. Her love for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was displayed every day. Her home was a place of warmth and love filled with laughter and joy.

Ginny is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gerald Francis Doyle; son, Peter James Doyle of Huron; daughter, Catherine Sophia Doyle of Carrollton; grandchildren, Peter Frances (Malyssa) Doyle of Lakewood, Molly Rose (Aaron) Sennish of Bay Village, and Scott Doyle of Rocky River; great-grandchildren, Spencer Rose, Doyle Connor Sennish, and Parker James Doyle; sister, Shirley (Bill) Hullinger of Kendallville, Indiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Ginny was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Catherine Miller.

Visitation for friends will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2023, until the time of Ginny's funeral at 11:30 a.m. at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, with Deacon Jeff Claar presiding. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
