Wilma Allgood Obituary

Wilma Louise Allgood

Dec 14, 1951 - Oct 2, 2025

Sandusky

Wilma L. Allgood, 73, of Sandusky, formerly of Elyria, peacefully went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 2, 2025. She was born December 14, 1951, in Belvidere, Tennessee, to William (Bill) and Gladys (Hardin) Hill, and later made her home in Elyria, where she spent most of her life.

Wilma was a devoted woman of faith and a longtime member of Second Baptist Church of Elyria, where she joyfully served the Lord and her community through the Outreach Missionary Circle, devoting her time, talents, and loving spirit. While in Columbus, she attended Vineyard (East Campus), where she enjoyed participating in small group activities with lasting friends. After moving to Sandusky, she continued her

faithful walk as a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church.

For many years, Wilma worked at United Methodist Village, where she was deeply respected for her compassion, kindness, and unwavering dedication to caring for others.

She had a gentle heart and a genuine love for people, touching countless lives with her wit, warmth, encouragement, and steadfast faith. Wilma enjoyed baking, coloring, caring for her family and friends, and especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless laughter and joy.

Wilma leaves behind a loving family, sister, Gladys Diane Brown; sister-in-law, Dorothy Hardin; her children, Shelisa (Aswad Atu) Johnson of Sandusky, Kenric (Dawn) Allgood of Fort Myers, Florida, and Byron (Rauchelle) Allgood, Columbus; grandchildren, Kenric (KJ) Allgood Jr., Solomon Johnson, Zuri Johnson, Evan Allgood, and Kamora Allgood; great-grandchildren, Cole Allgood, Nico Allgood and a host of relatives and friends who will deeply miss her kindness, strength, and faith. Her life was a reflection of God's love, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Ed and Nancy Hardin; parents, Gladys and Bill Hill; her beloved sisters, Jennie Irene Shores, Hazel Lee Harris, Julia Mae Burnett and Ola Bell Taylor; her brothers, Joe Hardin, Bobby Conley, Henry Hill, and Raymond Hill; former husband, Lonnie Allgood; and other loved ones who have gone before her.

Celebration of Life Services will be Saturday, October 11, 2025. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce Street, Sandusky. Pastor Curtis L. Johnson will officiate. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements.
