Wyatt Duchette Obituary

Wyatt Scott Duchette

Jan 6, 2015 - Jun 7, 2023

North Fairfield

Wyatt Scott Duchette, 8, of North Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023, in a house fire in Norwalk.

He was born Jan. 6, 2015, in Norwalk, to Andrew Donald Duchette and Dakota Rae Jones. Wyatt just completed second grade at Western Reserve Elementary School in Collins. Wyatt was one of the most pure, kind-hearted souls you could ever meet. He was a giver. His smile made your darkest days so bright just by his presence, not just to his family, but to everyone who encountered him. He loved motorcycles, sports, BMX bicycling, the outdoors, wrestling, and boy, did he love his family.

Wyatt is survived by his father, Andrew Duchette; little sister whom he adored, Harlee Rae Duchette; big stepbrother whom he loved, Paxton Lee Burke; mother, Dakota Rae Jones; grandparents, Dawn Alberts (James Davic), Kim Duchette (Angela), Michael Jones, and Jennie Mingus Dreschel (Timothy); favorite uncle in the world, Chad Duchette (Megan); cousins, Gabi Duchette (Tug), Isabelle Duchette (Mason), Alex Shuker, and Gavin Shuker; and so many other cousins and family members who loved and adored him.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Donald A. and Shirley E. Alberts (Tripp); uncle, Scott A. Shuker; and great-uncle, Donald A. Alberts Jr.

Please join the Duchette family in celebrating the life of Wyatt from 4-7 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2023, at Pfeil Funeral Home, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville.

If you are coming to Pfeil Funeral Home, we ask that you wear a GOLD CHAIN in Wyatt's honor. If you knew Wyatt, you know he loved his gold chains.

A message from Wyatt's father, Drew: Please hug and kiss your children. You can never hug them enough and you can never tell them you love them too many times.

A sincere thank you to the Norwalk and Milan Fire Departments and Norwalk Police Department for doing their absolute best in such a horrific situation. We also thank so many families, friends, the Huron County community, and Western Reserve School District for so many acts of kindness to our family. Wyatt was a kind, loving little boy. Let's honor him by keeping that memory alive and being KIND to one another. Love your family. Life changes in the blink of an eye.

Wyatt was the best of all of us. REST IN HEAVEN, Wyatt.
