Zander Allen Sergent, 20, Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, December 26, 2025, at his residence.
He was born June 13, 2005, in Columbus.
Zander loved his friends, football, WWE wrestling, and his X-Box. He loved his Kansas City Chiefs and never missed a game; he went to Cedar Point, rode all the roller coasters; loved his ketchup and did not eat anything without it; and, above all, Zander loved his family more than anything and was happy just hanging out with them. He loved to make us laugh, with his jokes or his favorite line, "That's what she said," at the most inappropriate time.
As parents, we always refer to our child as one of a kind, but Zander truly was. His personality lit up the room and brought smiles to everyone, without saying a word. Zander's kindness and love of life were contagious, and everyone who was blessed to feel his light will carry his legacy, spreading that kindness and love, and he will be forever with us.
He is survived by his mother, Sandi Marcum; father, Anthony Sergent: grandparents, Janet Flowers, David and Mary Marcum; siblings, Cody (Elizabeth) Ramsey, Kyle Ramsey, Danyelle (Dalton) Frahn, Matthew (Alicen) Puska, Alex Puska, TJ (Bowman) Montgomery, David Sergent, Anthony Sergent, Taylore (Alec) Contat, Tommy Sergent, and Trista Sergent; aunt, Stephanie (Jason) Marcum; uncle, Mike Searles; several cousins, nieces, nephews; and his dogs, Deebo, Bella, and Piper.
A Celebration of his life will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2026, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
Zander leaves us with a huge hole in our hearts and an ache for him that can never be fulfilled! We love you with every inch of our hearts, our sweet, precious Zander Butt.
