Albert Porter Obituary

My thoughts and prayers are with his beautiful wife Ms. Louise, Ivy, Tiffany, Heather, Rhondetta, TeeTee, Shawn, Uncle Eugene, the Porter and Moore family all have a special place in my heart. May he rest peacefully.

Great man, gentle soul. I am glad I had the opportunity to be a part of his life, if only briefly.

Rev. Porter´s love for children was always evident. I specifically remember he used to organize a toy and bike giveaway. He also made it his mission to collect warm coats to give to kids. He was a blessing to this community and will be missed.

I am saddened to learn about the transition of my childhood friend and Harrison Street neighbor. From the time of our shared upbringing, the Porter family and Swopes family enjoyed beautiful memories and frequent gathering "under the big tree" near our homestead. Albert´s life is a great testament to his wonderful parents and entire family. I will always cherish his friendship and love for others. May he rest in eternal peace and may his memories be a blessing to his family and all who loved him so dearly.

To Pastor Porter's Family, I truly appreciate, Pastor Porter taking time out to spend with my son with bible study and prayers on a weekly basis. What a man of God he was! This Community will definitely miss him and I will be praying for his Family.

I am going to miss Pastor Albert so much. From memories of him standing in the pulpit, or with Pastor Brown, to walking past the house going wherever I was headed and stopping to say hello when he was on his porch. Truly a great, and God fearing man. I have nothing but love for the Porter family. My deepest condolences to you all. Well done, Pastor Porter. Rest well.

Please know your Albert helped heal my heart while at the pier this past summer. He truely was a Godsend.
